Barstool Chicago Joe Draft

Round 1 Pick 1: Joe Pesci, Eddie

Great pick. This is probably who I would've taken first overall. I definitely would've taken him as my first actor, so I think the pick is pretty good. Not too much to say about it, just a very good pick.

Grade: A+

Round 1 Pick 2: Fat Joe, Clem

I think I am too young to understand how big Fat Joe was. I thought this pick was god awful, but everyone else seemed to think it was good, so I guess I'll give it an ok grade.

Grade: A-

Round 1 Pick 3: Joe Burrow, Megan

Alright. This is gonna be tough to say, but I don't love the pick. I get why Megan took him with her being an LSU fan and his current relevance. But I think it is also a recency bias pick. Like let's honestly think about this, is Joe Burrow the third best Joe? I don't think so. I know I'll probably get hate for this, but I think Joe Burrow is not a great pick. All in all, I think that the pick will probably get many votes, especially now.

Grade: B

Round 1 Pick 4: Joey Chestnut, Carl

Good pick. Joey Chestnut is by far better than the next best competitive eater. He is outside of the box and I think many people are gonna vote even if it is just for jokes. So I think it is a good pick.

Grade: A

Round 1 Pick 5: Joe Dirt, Dave

Joe Dirt is a fine movie. The firework scene is probably one of the more recognizable comedy scenes. However, I believe there were better fictional Joes available. I think the pick overall is not terrible, but I think was a pretty big reach in the first round.

Grade: C+

Round 2 Pick 1: Joe DiMaggio, Dave

An incredible pick. For my money, the best Joe you could've drafted regardless of position. Easily could've been first overall and the fact that he made it to the second round is incredible. Joe DiMaggio is just an incredible baseball player and an incredible player.

Grade: A

Round 2 Pick 2: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Carl

I don’t have a lot to say about Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He was obviously the second-best actor in a category that is paper-thin. Good on Carl to take him in the second round and not wait.

Round 2 Pick 3: Joe Lu Truglio, Megan

Again, the actor category is so small that this pick is good. He doesn't have quite the name brand as the other two Joes but he is a pretty good actor. I personally love him in Brooklyn 99 and he has a lot of other good roles. A good value pick.

Grade: A-

Round 2 Pick 4: Joe Montana, Clem

Up until a few years ago, people were arguing between him and Tom Brady for who was "The GOAT", so he is certainly a good pick in the second round. I don't have a lot to say about Montana because I never saw him play, but he has a lot of rings and had a good amount of records.

Grade: A+

Round 2 Pick 5: Uncle Joey, Eddie

I really like the pick. I would always watch Full House before school in elementary and middle school and I loved it. My favorite character was Uncle Joey so I definitely endorse the pick. Also, fictional Joe is an interesting category, so I think it was good to get a heavy-hitter early.

Grade: A+

Round 3 Pick 1: Joe Jonas, Eddie

I like the pick. Joe is pretty cool and a pretty good musician. The Jonas brothers also have pretty big fans, so if they somehow find this poll, which is incredibly unlikely because I imagine the overlap in fans is minimal at best, they will certainly sway the votes. Good pick.

Grade: A

Round 3 Pick 2: Joe Rogan, Clem

So I don't think the people that listen to the Dog Walk are the canceling type, so I think the pick is safe. I don't listen to Rogan, but I think he's pretty funny. He will also get a ton of votes if his fans somehow find this draft so I think it could be a good investment for Clem.

Grade: A

Round 3 Pick 3: Joseph of Nazareth, Megan

Good pick. It's hard to vote against the original Joseph and the father of God. Strong pick from Megan right here, will definitely get the vote of religious people.

Grade: A

Round 3 Pick 4: Proposition Joe, Carl

This is self-admittedly a bad pick from Carl. He said nobody else would've taken him. So it is clearly a reach to take him in the third round. I mean fans of the wire will probably like the pick but that's about it.

Grade: C

Round 3 Pick 5: Joe Walsh, Dave

I didn't know it's become a popular take to hate on the Eagles. I feel like most people are at least neutral to them. I think it is a pretty good fan if people know who he is. I did not, but now that I know he is the lead singer of the Eagles, I think it is a good pick.

Grade: A

Round 4 Pick 1: Jose Canseco, Dave

Jose Canseco is an asshole. Like he was good at baseball, but Dave is certainly not helping himself with this pick. Nobody respects the guy and honestly it is not a good pick. He does have a hot daughter though.

Grade: D

Round 4 Pick 2: Joe West, Carl

Incredible pick. I've never listened to his country music, but it's just so funny that it exists. It is also a nice out-of-the-box pick. However the name Joe West does in general have a negative connotation with most baseball fans, so overall the pick is not that great.

Grade: C

Round 4 Pick 3: Joey Fatone, Megan

Very strong pick. He might not be the best musician named Joe, but he is relatively recent and is still pretty famous. I think the pick is solid in the fourth round, but not amazing in any way.

Grade: B

Round 4 Pick 4: Trader Joe, Clem

I like the creativity Clem, so that will get points. However I don't love the pick. I think Trader Joe's is a little bit overrated and nobody will know who the person is. I honestly didn't even know he was a real person. With this being said I know it has a strong fanbase so I still think it is a decent pick.

Grade: B

Round 4 Pick 5: Joe Louis, Eddie

Great pick. One of the best boxers ever. He is also the better of the two famous boxing Joes. I think this will definitely get some votes from the boxing crowd and I think people will respect the pick.

Grade: Ap

Round 5 Pick 1: Joe Thomas, Eddie

We are definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel here for modern athletes. I like Joe Thomas, despite him being a Cleveland Brown, because he was just a nice guy and a hardworker. That consecutive snaps streak or whatever he had is very impressive and I will always respect him being loyal to a team that won like twenty-five games his entire career. (I just checked and it was forty-eight games, but still that's sad).

Grade: A

Round 5 Pick 2: Joey Tribbiani, Eddie

Uncle Joey and Joey Tribbiani are probably 1a and 1b for famous fictional Joes. I think Joey T. is probably funnier than Uncle Joey, but the latter is a better character. Either way, they are both good picks and this one is incredibly valuable in the fifth round.

Grade: A+

Round 5 Pick 3: Joe Camel, Megan

It is the fifth round and we have an outside of the box pick. I think this is gonna work out for Megan, who put together a pretty strong draft.

Grade: B

Round 5 Pick 4: Joseph Stalin, Carl

Boooooooo! Boo this man. But like real talk, nobody would think of drafting Hitler and Stalin is a worse person. Bad Carl.

Grade: F

Round 5 Pick 5: Joey Diaz, Dave

I didn't really know who this is, but he is the last pick and seems like he was in some pretty good movies. So overall not a terrible pick from WSD.

Grade: B

I think this week will be a runaway, Megan has a way better draft than anyone else in my opinion, the only other one close is maybe White Sox Dave.

Predicted Winner: Megan

Predicted Loser: Carl
