Barstool Chicago College Football Uniform Draft Grades

Round 1 Pick 1: Notre Dame, Rico

Solid pick. In my opinion, it is not the best jersey in college football, but I understand why it was taken first overall. The jersey is good, but is very ordinary. It really gets most of its credit from being iconic. 

Grade: A

Round 1 Pick 2: Tennessee Orange, Big T

This is a great pick. The orange jersey from Tennessee is definitely in my top three college football jerseys. It is a unique color and it looks good. It is also a jersey that just makes players look faster.

Grade: A+

Round 1 Pick 3: Navy Top Gun Uniforms, Dave

I root for Navy. They are the closest FBS team to my house and I went to a few games growing up. But, this is a miss. The jersey is great, but it was horribly overdrafted. I think Dave could have gotten this much later. 

Grade: B-

Round 1 Pick 4: Ole Miss Powder Blue, Eddie 

Solid pick. It is a uniform that I believe everyone typically likes. I am just a sucker for a good light blue in general.

Grade: A

Round 1 Pick 5: Scarlet Ohio State, Chief

Two schools with overrated jerseys; Penn State and Ohio State. They are both so basic. They look like middle school uniforms. I don't think Ohio State's jersey is worthy of a first-round pick, maybe a third. 

Grade: C

Round 2 Pick 1: Garnet Florida State, Chief

Very good uniform. It is a nice color and I like the accents on the shoulders. Taken in a good spot as well.

Grade: A

Round 2 Pick 2: White LSU, Eddie

Personally, I think LSU has the best whiteout uniform in all of college. It looks very royal with the purple and yellow accents. It also makes the players look incredibly fast, especially when you pair it with the yard markers every five yards. 

Grade: A+

Round 2 Pick 3: USC Home, Dave

Great pick. I would had this pegged as a first-round pick. It checks all of the boxes. It has a good color scheme and pattern, it isn't too busy, and it is iconic. It also just gives off the energy of a big game. 

Grade: A+

Round 2 Pick 4: Powder Blue UCLA, Big T

UCLA has the most underrated uniform in college. The powder blue and gold is a very nice combo and it usually pops in the California evening. 

Grade: A+

Round 2 Pick 5: Green Oregon (orange socks), Rico

Oregon has so many jerseys that it feels like you could have gotten a better one. Like the yellow, the pinks, even the regular ones are good. These aren't my favorite of the bunch. However, I will give them bonus points because they are supposed to look like ducks, which is funny. 

Grade: C+

Round 3 Pick 1: Miami Green (2001), Rico

Now this is a good pick. This uniform oozes swagger, toughness, and being cool. It was worn by so many elite players. A very good pick. However, I will knock it down for taking back-to-back green jerseys.

Round 3 Pick 2: SMU Dallas, Big T

These are pretty good uniforms. The script is very nice and it is a good color. I have always thought that the SMU uniforms are good and these are their best ones. The helmet is also very good. 

Grade: B+

Round 3 Pick 3: Florida A&M White, Dave

Weird pick. The uniform is pretty good but drafted too high. This would have been great in the fifth round because nobody else was taking this. 

Grade: C

Round 3 Pick 4: Texas, Eddie

I cannot believe that the burnt orange lasted this long. This would have been my number-one pick. It is a bit boring, but does have some extra stuff to make it pop. It is the second-best color for any college program, besides UNC. Also, it has a big game feel similar to USC.

Grade: A+

Round 3 Pick 5: Texas (white), Chief

Way to get cucked here. The white version of the Texas jersey is still good, but it is worse than the orange. So you really can't take it right after, that's like taking food off the ground and saying it's a five-star meal. 

Grade: C

Round 4 Pick 1: Army Desert Storm, Chief

Army has so many good uniforms and he chose to go with these? Just a tan uniform. First, the regular Army uniforms are sweet. Second, there are much better alternatives. Not a great choice from Chief. 

Grade: C+

Round 4 Pick 2: Michigan, Eddie

A very solid pick in the fourth round. Michigan has very good uniforms and despite being timeless, they aren't boring like many old ones. 

Grade: A

Round 4 Pick 3: Pitt (royal blue), Dave

Pitt going back to these uniforms was one of the best decisions the university has made in a while. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry has navy and gold, but not royal blue and gold. These uniforms are very good and to get them in the fourth round is great value. 

Grade: A+

Round 4 Pick 4: Georgia (black), Big T

Tremendous pick from Big T. The blackout from Georgia is very good. It is probably the best Georgia uniform. 

Grade: A

Round 4 Pick 5: Tulane (powder blue), Rico

Good pick from Rico. Everyone loves a powder blue. Tulane looks very good with the green accents, just a very good combination.

Round 5 Pick 1: Joey Harrington Oregon (green), Rico

Two Oregon uniforms? Really? Not a great move from Rico.

Grade: D

Round 5 Pick 2: UNC (blue navy collar), Big T

Unfortunately, I think Big T picked the wrong UNC uniform. The regular one is better in my opinion; maybe even the best in college football. I think this pick is still good but it could have been better.

Grade: A-

Round 5 Pick 3: Washington (black), Dave

I wasn't overly familiar with these uniforms, but man they are sweet. They look great and purple, black, and gold is a great combo. More schools should do purple, they usually work well. 

Grade: A

Round 5 Pick 4: Wyoming (brown), Eddie

Meh. They aren't terrible uniforms, but I think there could have been a better pick here. I just think brown and yellow is a pretty meh color combo. 

Grade: C+

Round 5 Pick 5: Virginia Tech, Chief

I like a unique color scheme in college football and VA Tech probably has the most unique color scheme in the sport. The uniforms are great and look incredible for a night game. I don't like Virginia Tech, but I have to give them props for their uniforms. 

Grade: A

I don't think this will be particularly close. Big T has a bunch of very good jerseys and has no bad picks. Great draft from him.
