Barstool Chicago Grievances Draft Grades

This week the Chicago crew is joined by Dante and noted complainer Mr. Portnoy. It is a very good draft and was one of the funnier ones in recent memory.

Round 1 Pick 1: Politicians who Pander, Dave

I agree with Dave. I like the pick. I don't think it should've gone first overall, but I think everyone hates politicians who pander. Solid pick, not the best. 

Grade: B+

Round 1 Pick 2: People that stand as soon as the plane lands, Dante

This. This is annoying as FUCK. First off, where has common courtesy gone in the world. Doesn't everyone realize that we will get off sooner if we just do it in line? Also, you aren't getting anywhere quicker because we all have to wait to claim your bags. The only excuse is if you have to use the bathroom, that's fine.

Grade: A+

Round 1 Pick 3: People that hold the door too far away, Chief

Nope. Bad pick. I get how it's annoying but it's the person just trying to be nice. Other grievances are not when the people are trying to be nice. It's a bad pick. Maybe I'm in the minority, I'm not too sure.

Round 1 Pick 4: Apple changing cables, Eddie

Great pick, great pick. I actually really don't like my MacBook and the fact that they have a different cable than their other products pisses me right off. The other problem is the fact that the cables are like thirty dollars. Awesome selection.

Round 1 Pick 5:  Chris Berman Carshield commercial, Mr. Portnoy

I'm not sure about this one. I don't mind the Chris Berman commercial, nor do I really mind Chris Berman. I won't grade him too harshly because he doesn't really know what he's doing.

Round 2 Pick 1: No cash only lines a supermarket, Mr. Portnoy

I actually really like this. I'm a huge cash guy tbh. I think Venmoing your friends is stupid, I love paying with cash. I guess I'm old school in this regard. I think the exact change is a bit excessive. I think the pick won't get many votes, but I like it.

Round 2 Pick 2: Whacky wedding entrances, Eddie

I don't go to many weddings, but if I saw this I could see it getting old really quick. Sometimes it's nice to be traditional and I think weddings are one of those times. Solid pick.

Round 2 Pick 3: Cash only bars, Chief

Cash-only places are a huge inconvenience. I like paying with cash, but I like having options even more. When people don't give me options I become instantly annoyed. Amazing pick from Chief.

Round 2 Pick 4: People who blast music in public, Dante

I HATE this. I don't give two shits about your shitty Soundcloud rap. Let's face it those are the only types of music that get blasted in public. It's always bad. I also hate people facetiming in public, which is essentially the same thing. 

Grade: A+

Round 2 Pick 5: People who reply all, Dave

I understand that this is annoying, but I think this usually happens on accident and I try not to get too mad at things that are accidents. Not an amazing pick.

Round 3 Pick 1: Potheads, Dave

I like this pick from Dave. People that make weed their whole personality are insufferable. They are annoying and smell awful. It's very annoying.

Grade: A

Round 3 Pick 2: People who don't use turn signals, Dante

Great pick. It's just common courtesy to use your turn signal and really is super easy. I understand not doing it on maybe some backroads, but if you are on a main road, you're an ass if you don't use your turn signal.

Round 3 Pick 3: When your cable provider removes channels and charges you the same price, Chief

Comcast literally just did this to my family like three months ago. They took away all of the Starz channels, wtf. Anyways it's so annoying, especially since they usually remove channels without any warning. Great, relatable pick from Chief.

Round 3 Pick 4: When your Hotel Fridge is filled with stuff, Eddie

This is a pretty meh pick for me. I barely use hotel refrigerators, but I guess I could see the issue. I don't think it will get a ton of votes.

Round 3 Pick 5: Beeping as soon as the light turns green, Mr. Portnoy

Good pick. I hate when the light is basically still red when the people beep. It's just so annoying. Like do you think that I have the reaction speed of a drag racer? So god damn annoying.

Grade: A

Round 4 Pick 1: Young People in sales, Mr. Portnoy

I understand this. Sometimes you want someone to have a little experience. Spinzone though, new salesmen aren't as good at lying to get you to buy something you don't really want.

Grade: B

Round 4 Pick 2: Dirty Deli Knife, Eddie

I don't think this is a good pick. It's very niche and honestly not that big of a deal unless you have food allergies.

Round 4 Pick 3: People with intentionally loud cars, Chief

I dislike people who care too much about their cars and these are the worst kind of people that care too much. Loud car guys are so bad. You aren't cool, you're just an asshole. 

Grade: A+

Round 4 Pick 4: Top Ten Section on Netflix, Dante

This seems like an "old man yells at clouds" pick. Honestly, this just shows whatever is new on Netflix. This is easily ignorable. This pick is essentially just saying, "I don't like what's popular because it's popular". Very good draft so far though, bad pick.

Round 4 Pick 5: Bringing stinky food to the office, Dave

Great pick. No one likes people stinking up the office. It's just inconsiderate.

Round 5 Pick 1: Internet virtue signalers, Dave

This is an incredible pick from Dave. I could write for probably 2-3 pages worth of people like this, but you guys don't wanna hear about that. It's just so fucking annoying when people be political just to promote their own self-image.

Grade: A

Round 5 Pick 2: People who go the speed limit in the left lane, Dante

There is a reason it's called the fast lane. The thought process just doesn't make sense to me. "Wow I'm gonna go to the speed limit, let me drive across four lanes to go do that". Where is the logic behind that? It's just so frustrating. 

Grade: A+

Round 5 Pick 3: People who block the moving walkway, Chief

This is just another pick that is selfish. The walkways are pretty big and you don't need to take up the whole space. People just need to think about other people besides themselves. 

Grade: A-

Round 5 Pick 4: Cone Cups, Eddie

I don't care too much about this. You mostly just use these cups for a single drink and throw them away. Didn't really understand why he was so annoyed by this.

Round 5 Pick 5: Doctors Rushing, Mr. Portnoy

This doesn't really annoy me, but I can understand how it annoys others and how it could be a good pick. 

Grade: B+

Very close draft this week. In my opinion, it is between Dante and Chief this week. They both have strong drafts of things that many people hate. I think Chief is slightly ahead because of Dante's Netflix pick. 

Predicted Winner: Chief

Predicted Loser: Eddie
